This private collection is located in Houston, Texas and has been in the United States for 35 years. The family wishes to sell it as a whole and not split the collection.
The collection was examined by the University of Texas and in there estimate some pieces are around 3000 to 4000 years old.
Showing of the collection will be done in Houston, Texas in 2008.
If wish to make an offering, all bids will be looked at on an individual basis. If you wish to evaluate the collection or have them examined by your experts before showing, a $2000. fee will be charged for travel expenses and uncrating.Two weeks notice required.
The Owners guarantee all items to be real and authentic, exactly as represented with the exception of the last item. (unknown)
This is one of the premiere private collections of Mesoamerican art in the world. The collection was aquired while the Owner was in Panama over a peroid of 40 years and was on display in his home.
